학과개요 Summary

스마트정보통신공학과는 정보화를 촉진시키고 정보통신산업을 육성시키기 위하여 국가전략사업으로 중앙 정부, 지방자치단체 등 공공 기관을 초고속 유무선 광대역 정보통신망으로 연결하는 사업을 성공적으로 수행하였다. 최근 인공지능 영상처리 분야의 대형 국 가과제를 유치하여 4차산업혁명을 위한 첨단 기술을 개발하고 우수 인재를 양성하고 있다. 향후에도 정보통신 선도 국가로서의 역할을 지속적으로 수행하기 위해 관련 계획을 수립 추진해 나가고 있다.

또한, 무선통신기술 개발의 견인차인 이동통신기술 개발도 활발히 진행되고 있다. 국내에서도 이러한 국제적인 기술개발 추세에 맞추어 대기업과 통신사업자들이 관련 기술개발에 매진하고 있다. 이를 통해 초고속 광대역 무선 멀티미디어 서비스가 가능한 지구촌의 정보화를 도모하고 있다.

아울러 새로운 전송기술, 정보기술, 신호 및 영상처리 기술, 멀티미디어 기술, 광통신기술, 네트워크기술, 가상현실기술, 양자 컴 퓨팅, 소자기술, 디스플레이기술, 소프트웨어 기술, 시스템 기술, 제어계측 기술, 지능로봇기술, 인공지능, 빅데이터 기술 등을 바탕으로 차세대 정보통신기술에 대한 기초연구 및 관련 기술개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다.

이러한 4차산업혁명의 시대적 요구를 이해함과 동시에, 본 대학원에서는 정보통신시스템 분야, 전자제어시스템 분야, 인공지능 분야로 나누어 보다 질적으로 우수한 석·박사급 IT 인력 양성을 위한 우수한 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 국내외 정보통신 기 술개발 및 발전추세, IT 인력수요 동향을 고려하여 국제화 능력을 보유한 미래지향적인 우수한 정보통신 전문인력을 양성하고자 한다.

The Department of Smart Information and Communications Engineering had successfully performed research projects for the foundation of information and communication, by connecting the central government, the local governments, and other public organizations with high-speed wire-wireless broadband information and communication network, which aimed to promote informatization and support information and communication industry. We are currently developing cutting edge technologies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution with large-scale national research projects related to artificial intelligence and image processing, and also training talented leaders. It also keeps establishing and carrying out various projects to help Korea fulfill its reasonabilities as the leader of information and communication industry.

We has also actively developed mobile and wireless communication technologies. Korea follows this global technology development trends, and focuses in developing relevant technologies with communication service companies for global informatization with super high-speed broadband wireless multimedia service.

We also focuses on researches and technology development related to next generation information and communication technology based on new transmission, information, signal and image processing, multimedia, optical communication, network, virtual reality, quantum computing, element, display, software, system, control and measurement, intellectual robot technologies, artificial intelligence, and big data.

The Department of Smart Information and Communications Engineering understands the needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and prepares excellent programs for cultivating excellent information and communication system, electronic control system experts, as well as artificial intelligence experts with master's and doctor's degrees, and cultivates future-oriented information and communication experts for the global IT market.

교육목표 Educational Goals

학교, 연구소, 산업체에서 필요로 하는 정보통신분야의 고급 이론을 학습하고 관련 실무능력을 배양하는 것을 목표로 한다. 이 를 통해 정보통신 이론과 현장에서의 문제 해결 능력 및 프로젝트 수행능력을 겸비한 우수한 석·박사급 정보통신 전문인력을 양 성한다.

The Department of Smart Information and Communications Engineering is established to teach students advance information and communication theories necessary for schools, research centers, and industries, to provide them with opportunities to practice, and to cultivate information and communication experts with master's and doctor's degrees who can solve problems and lead projects based on theories and experiences.
